Using console scripts for Fallout 3 in TTW

Post by MoGriggles » Tue Jul 23, 2013 9:12 pm

I am wanting to unlock both the megaton and tenpenny tower houses. I have the load order up to date and am using a current version of TTW.

I have tried using the console typing the lines below but I feel it wont work because fallout 3 is 0A on my load order.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this please reply

  1. type: player.SetStage 14E9E 200

  2. confirm with enter

  3. type: player.StartQuest 7B234

  4. confirm with enter

I'm not entirely sure if this will work, because it doesn't for some TTW doors, but try clicking the doors when you bring the console up and type "unlock" without the quotations.

You could always pull up the GECK, and put duplicates of those keys in Megaton somewhere...

You have to check if the quest you want to call is in Fallout3.esm or FalloutNV.esm. if it's in Fallout3.esm, then you have to use it like any other mod, by putting the load index in front of the FormID of the item. Also, I have found that it generally needs to have quotes around the ID

SetStage "0A014E9E" 200

Also, you do not call SetStage against he player. SetStage takes only two arguments, the quest ID and the stage index.

Wow a person that doesn't know that TTWInteriors mod made by Chucksteel (one of the TTW Team Leaders) and hosted here on this site allows to have both player homes with extra themes and goodies like Snow globe display and Gnome display and so on and in addition increases the number of places to explore and items to gather by a lot!

Check it out when you have time .

Also do you have permission to distribute that converted file? for now I will have to remove the link due to Site rules and courtesy to the author, if you have permission please say so and I will put the link back smiley.
