Make sure you are using http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45652/?

I also thought CASM only used the standard save method. I personally had trouble with auto and quick saves in the vanilla games, so I had both disabled ASAP.

What is XCE?

Also, I can't believe I missed it first time through: Your TTW load order is way off. You should probably fix that.

XCE is a face retexture mod, not on the nexus yet.

Also, you're right about the load order, but it's only the couriers stash packs. Would this cause significant problems?

FO3 is still reinstalling, so we'll see.

Again, no dice. Full reinstall of FO3 and TTW. Still freezes on quicksave and whenever I enter a new cell, even if I turn autosaves off.

Load order now looks like this.

FalloutNV.esm

DeadMoney.esm

HonestHearts.esm

OldWorldBlues.esm

LonesomeRoad.esm

GunRunnersArsenal.esm

CaravanPack.esm

ClassicPack.esm

MercenaryPack.esm

TribalPack.esm

Fallout3.esm

Anchorage.esm

ThePitt.esm

BrokenSteel.esm

PointLookout.esm

Zeta.esm

TaleOfTwoWastelands.esm

Total active plugins: 17

I'm really out of ideas. Not sure why it's doing this now when it used to work perfectly.

Don't quick save. Avoid it as it can easily be corrupted.

Manually save, or get CASM.

Disable ALL autosaves in the game settings.

Load an earlier save - not a quicksave or autosave. Try it with only the 17 mods, and if that works, your list.

Post by plumjuice » Sun Jul 21, 2013 11:27 pm

Reinstalling TTW and FO3 will not help if the problem is with one of your NV mods or NV itself.

The problem with your load order had nothing to do with the Couriers Stash, you had the FO3 and TTW esm's loading after a bunch of mods. That's bad.

I'm not using any other mods and NV runs fine by itself. I'm not sure how that could be the problem.

Are you using an old save or starting a new game? If using an old save it's possible that it is just irredeemably trashed and may be the source of your problems.

Start with New Vegas only and seriously uninstall your mods instead of just unchecking them. The files in the data folder are loaded even if they aren't used. Tweak your settings to your liking, but the best advice is to stick to this guide on the GeForce website. Once you've got that running exactly to your liking if you find you still experience microstutter download and install NVSR, run new vegas, then go to data/NVSE/plugins/sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.ini. Open and set the Max FPS for your game, usually 30-45 is good for most people. Then at the top make sure bfastexit and bmanagefps are set to 1 and save. If you use anything else that caps/ manages fps turn it off/ disable FPS capping in it's settings and allow NVSR to do it.

No dice.

Completely uninstalled FO3 and NV, wiped all the folders. Reinstalled NV, did the tweaks, added NVSE, NVSR and nv4gb. All worked fine.

Installed TTW, and the problems came right back.

I'm completely stumped.

Should note that CASM saves give the same 20~ second freeze. I'm also encountering new bugs in the vault.

What's your PC's specs? TTW

What's your PC's specs? TTW is a lot harder on computer's resources than Fo3 or NV are. (If i remember correctly)
