The preorder weapons should

The preorder weapons should be caravan pack, classic pack, mercenary pack, tribal pack, other than that you are all set.

The Fallout_default.ini contains a change that can help the white-face glitch. It manually changes only the applicable line and is otherwise identical to any other tweaks you may have made. This line is also changed in your Fallout.ini found in "my games"

I had this problem, I found

Post by Aconagent1 » Mon Dec 24, 2012 4:22 am

I had this problem, I found out it was caused by all of the FO3 mods that I didn't add NV as a master to, and a few other FO3 mods that seem to just be incompatible with TTW... like Female Enclave Soldiers for some odd reason.

I've had this happen before, the cause seems to be a bad reference/orphaned record within a mod. The first time, the cause was the FO3 Brisa mod and the second was just a case of a badly installed mod. Unless you have a very small load order, in which case you could try FNVEdit to find the bad record, I'd recommend disabling your mods and then re-enabling in small groups until you encounter that problem again. From there, you should be able to find the mod in question. It's a pain but you'll be able to find the cause.

Moved and combined threads.

Torrential defect, the disappearing menu is a vanilla bug that can be caused by a variety of issues, most of which are detailed in the posts above.  Often it is that a mod is missing a master, or a mod has a master assigned to it that it shouldn't have.  See prabal's post for example.

Well if you don't have mods

Well if you don't have mods at the moment did you had mods before installing TTW? Some mods leave stuff behind or change things (like files and settings, etc) that might still affect the game even if they are not in use anymore. Also validating the files through Steam will not reinstall the game it usually doesn't even take more than a couple of minutes if there is no file to be replaced, if there are any files than it will need to download them and that takes a bit longer depending on the internet speed but still it's advisable if there are any that were changed or are corrupt.

Also I do understand not wanting to reinstall the game(s) and TTW again, it does take ages to do it all specially if you don't have a hard copy of the games and have to download them each time you want to install, but sometimes that is the only option that will work (I know because in one month I had to install both games around 5 times and TTW over 10 times) my advice if you will do it in the future, after uninstalling the game delete it's folder on steam and on your "my games" one in your documents before installing the game again, that way you will have a real unaltered game installation, then you should copy the game folder from steam and put it somewhere else for safe keeping, that way next time you need to install the game all you have to do is after uninstalling it and deleting the folders again, copy your backup (or safe keeping as I called it before cheeky) folder and put it back in the steam games one and no more need to go through the installation process again.

Sorry about the wall of text and about not giving a real answer for the problem, and I am not trying to sound like I am a grumpy old guy or something, it's just some information to leave around here .

All I can think is delete

Post by JaxFirehart » Fri Feb 01, 2013 11:42 pm

All I can think is delete everything FNV related and reinstall. This is an intermittent issue that we can't narrow down to a single cause yet. Reinstall seems to help. Make sure you also delete .ini files in My Documents\My Games\FalloutNV when you reinstall

I've had this problem as well

I've had this problem as well. The game would load but stop where it says Bethesda and continues to play music. I've decided to delete everything FNV related and install a clean version and try it then. Hopefully it works and then I can install the least amount of mods!
