Right now I'm running two 470s in sli, they have worked great but now being 5 years old and the games have surpassed them I'm looking at getting a 970 for a replacement for newer games and of course for when fallout 4 comes out, I normally run MSI twin frozr for over clocking and MSI has never failed me even when you do over clock the hell out of it. I heard EVGA was always good and respected but I never or knew anybody that had one. Big reason being the EVGA is 30-40 dollars cheaper...... Just wondering on the input? I know Gigabyte and Zotac are out of the picture. Just wondering if you most people had good luck with them?

Ya, I've even been knocking
Ya, I've even been knocking around the idea of just waiting till all the DLC and the price goes down or just getting the Game of the year edition (Because I don't see how it won't be!) Also all the mods will be out and updates done. But there are other games I was also looking at so if I want to play them the upgrade is needed which sucks and I'll never go higher than 1080 unless the I'm talked into 4k TV which I don't see happening any time soon. but most game require a 660 for the minimum which sucks, and if I'm going to replace my old cards I'm going to get something that's worth it.
Second question, I've heard people use a second card just for the memory. Can I use one 470 for this or will this not work?
