TTW is latest version.


My problem is that Seagent RL3 will not attack. He will follow me, make comments, but during a firefight he will move around as if attacking but does not shoot at all.

Use FNVEdit to create a merged patch and this problem should go away.



At least, that's what I did to fix the issue.



I hope this doesn't qualify as necroing.

for some reason RL-3's inventory is completely empty you have to add in the RL3 Plamsa and Flamethrower weapons into his inventory in the GECK.  Once I did that he began fighting again.

Sometimes the issue is simple - for example, EVE gives Stockholm a better weapon, but doesn't give him the right ammo to use it. So he'll be up on his perch watching for raiders, but won't have his weapon out, nor will he be able to use it if raiders do appear. You need a patch to change the ammo so he can use the weapon. It's easy to make little mistakes like that in mods. That's why it's good to have as many people as possible active in the mod community. Somewhere, someone has run into the problem and figured out a solution.

I’m having this issue now too. Same exact problem. I even attempted to correct this as said above by checking his inventory in the GECK but everything appears above board. He even has the proper npc ammo to use his flamer and plasma rifle. No luck thus far. Please anyone help

Hmm... am I the only one who have a functional Sergeant RL-3 on TTW 3.2.2 or does one or more of the mods I use fixes this "issue" ? The only thing i can think of is that I made a merged patch (MMP) using FNVEdit. But then again, the patch does not even touch anything related to his inventory nor his ammo/weapon except his dialogue.

Please state your load order or ways to replicate the issue you are facing for others to professionally help you. If you are not using the latest version of TTW and its requirements as well as using incompatible mods without making your own patch I shall throw a frozen carrot at you.

My Sergeant RL-3 is happily shooting green gop and roasting enemies for the past few playthrough.

I've just tested this and headed straight to robco out of vault 101. i cheated and gave myself 1000 caps to buy RL-3. It had no issues with its weapons or with attacking. This is TTW 3.2.2

Just "looking at it in geck" doesnt do much. You need to look at RL-3 in fnvedit and see what conflicts there are and which esp is winning them. You also need to look at its weapons as they might be the ones modified and causing the robot not to shoot them.

I wouldn't release TTW with a broken RL-3, he works fine.

You have a mod breaking him.

I was able to fix this some time ago by replacing his specific companion version of the gutsy class plasma rifle with the generic gutsy npc version of it and that corrected the issue for me. All I have to do is leave a few rounds of ammo for his plasma rifle and flame thrower and that makes him work perfectly again. He doesn’t actually load or use the ammo but I suppose it’s got to check that he has ammo on his inventory to make it work. Just glad that he is working again.
