Well said, Risewild.  I feel the same way.  That said, it would be a cool mod.

Or you could make the karma

Or you could make the karma completely random since the LW may have spent nine year either feeding babies or feeding ON babies. Who knows? Pretty sure the courier doesn't. Plus karma is a metaphysical idea that isn't really attached to what you remember doing since it carries over from previous lives when you reincarnate. Or that's one of the ideas about it anyhow. <<<<neither hindu or buddhist.

If you've never played Fallout before, Karma is used in Fallout to keep track of the moral flavor of decisions that the player makes independent of faction association. The karma stat affects your dealings with certain characters depending on how the PCs karma level (+ for good and - for bad) aligns with theirs. You can read more about it on the wiki.

Randomizing the PCs karma after traveling on the train is anathema to role playing.

Eh, so is my Evil, slaughters

Post by chaosislife » Tue May 27, 2014 5:23 pm

Eh, so is my Evil, slaughters and eats everything that moves character suddenly going to neutral karma after a nine year trip, I can't imagine my character deciding to be nice to everyone else in between, and honestly my karma is a hell of a lot lower than the scale can actually show since I steal every single thing I see, shoot anyone who isn't a merchant, feed on their corpses, and then raise them fro. The dead as lil glowing minions of destruction. If i ever find a mod that adds babies to the wasteland I'll then be looking for one that lets me eat said babies, right in front of their parents and siblings. I would literally have to spend nine years throwing money around and giving everyone I see fresh water to begin to climb out of that hole.......but why would my character even want to? then there's the paragon types who suffer from the same issue with the scale not going high or low enuf, they'd have to murder everything between CW and MW to get down to neutral........but that wouldn't make any sense for their character.
