Destroying megaton got me a steam achievement

Post by Grevok » Thu Aug 18, 2016 9:30 am

I started a new character in TTW in DC, planning on being as cruel and evil as humanly possible. So naturally, one of the first things I did was blow up Megaton.

So I went to Tenpenny tower and hit the button, but as soon as the nuke went off, the steam achievement "Old-Tyme Brawler" (Cause 10,000 damage with unarmed weapons) popped up.

Now forgive me, I'm new to the website itself, and relatively new to the mod, (I've only completed one full playthrough of it) I don't know if anyone will see this, because technically this is a bug, but I don't actually know how to report a bug.

It's really not a major issue, and I think it was actually if anything helpful seeing as I never use unarmed so would likely never have gotten the achievement otherwise. But I somehow don't think it was intended as a feature that it should get me an achievement for dealing 10,000 damage with unarmed weapons seeing as I blew up a town with a nuke.

I think maybe I was unarmed when the nuke went off, that's the only thing I can think of that might have given me the achievement because I never use melee weapons. It perplexed me at the time, and I was wondering if anyone could help me to understand it, and possibly report it as a bug, because like I said, I don't know how to do that. Much thanks :)

I'd say you dealt more than 10,000 damage with little more than a single finger touch. The achievement may not me legitimate, but one achievement is better than none, right?

Hah nice bug, we can't test for such things because we all got the achievements ages ago and can't reset them.

Sounds like an engine bug to me though.
