Level 50 fully maxed character at the end of Lonesome Road

So essentially, I've made it to New Vegas now and have beaten lonesome road. The problem here is that you're supposed to add a point to any SPECIAL point you see fit at the end of said DLC. This causes my character (who has all SPECIAL traits at 10) to be stuck point distribution screen. This leaves me with two options.

1. Use console commands to lower one of the SPECIAL traits so i can go forward on (which idk if it'll cause problems with my character)

2. Install a mod that lets me go beyond 10 on SPECIAL traits (which seems kinda pointless to do)

I'm not really sure if anyone else has had this problem, and if so, how did you solve it? Help would be great.

TTW has a patch to address that, not sure why it's not working.

You can also use the console command: closeallmenus
