TTW v 2.6.3

Post by Jerimiah Brands » Sat Oct 18, 2014 3:05 pm

Hi

I'd like to download TTW version 2.6.3 but I can't seem to find it anywhere, here or otherwise. If anyone has it onhand I'd appreciate it greatly.

Thanks

Take the "Alpha Download" link on the left. Then continue straight down for a few clicks until you've reached the end. Can't miss it!

If you're actually looking for 2.7.3 instead of the current version then you're out of luck. We can only support one version at a time and old versions get removed as new ones come out.

That's unfortunate. However I was pretty sure that the old version didn't exist on the site anymore and my hope was that someone had downloaded it and still had it on their computer  and could upload it.

May I ask why you want to use the old version instead of the new?

I'm having a lot of trouble

I'm having a lot of trouble with version 2.7.2. I can't seem to get it to actually make any changes to the game, and even if they do make any changes they just add a incorrectly meshed union station, or a pair of inaccessible doors. I've used the installer, tried doing it manually, used FOMM and NMM to activate the FOMOD but none of them seem to work. The installation goes off without a hitch, everything build flawlessly and the mod says it installed correctly. Then I go to activate the FOMOD and it says it works, then I load up the game and nothing's changed.

I've used the mod before and the installation was always a quick pain-free process and consistently worked like a charm. But now it just doesn't activate. I've done a complete re-install with no mods active, installed TTW in various places but the mod simply doesn't activate.

It was a while since I used TTW last, when I installed it last time several black windows popped up when I began installing, that doesn't happen now, that's really the only thing that's different from before.

And it's a TON faster, the new installer is much better and doesn't need the black boxes to pop up anymore. Mod managers choke on the size of TTW, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Manual installs almost always work, so I'm inclined to think your attempt at a manual install maybe got botched. Post your load order and your latest install log (found in documents/my games/tale of two wastelands) and maybe we can identify a problem.

The installer built everything fine, so it's a mod manager issue. I'm inclined to agree with Jax and you should try a manual install again.
