Couple of things I'd add.

You don't need to install MO anywhere near your game folders. It doesn't make a difference where it is but I like to keep non-game files out of the installation.

The Win10 GameBar was active in that video. It is known to interfere with MO's VFS, as do all other overlay software.

The need to have the installer create the fomods is not necessary if you are using MO. You can simply move the install folders into MO's "mods" folder. This is useful for users that get the 7zip errors or fomods stalling during install.

RoyBatty has noted that the order of the BSAs MO sets may cause issues and this needs to be addressed. The order of the FO3 BSAs can not be changed inside of MO. You can either create separate FO3 folders for each DLC and activate them separately or close MO and edit the archives.txt manually to fix this.

Thanks for feedback!

1. I also have Skyrim installed on the drive, I was under the impression that each game required it's own install of mod organizer. Or in that case would you need to just make a mod organizer root folder and then separate installs for each instance of mod organizer?

2. Per your suggestion I disabled everything I could find related to windows game bar. Since everything has an overlay bundled in it these days I also had to also check my video driver software and chat applications.

3. I followed the install instructions on the main page, if there's an easier install method I would appreciate a link to them. So, by saying no to the creation of fomod files there will be usable zip files that can be installed via MO?

4. ~~If I have any game errors I'll attempt messing with the the bsas then, but~~ I'm looking forward to the next release since this is supposed to be fixed in it. [edit] I haven't found good instructions on how to unpack a .bsa to reorganize the files. Recommendations?

I have a Game Utils folder with separate MO installs for each game I have.

ie. D:\Games\ModOrganizer\<subfolder for each game>

I don't believe there is a dedicated page here on the TTW site for installing with MO, there are just snippets of info here and there from users that do use it.

Regarding #4. It's not the order of files inside the BSAs that's an issue, it's the order of the BSAs themselves. MO has a hard time organising the FO3 BSAs due to there being no plugins specific to them. It is in FNV mode and sees the FNV BSAs correctly.
