TTW 2016 - What has changed?

Post by EnderDragonFire » Sun Feb 28, 2016 11:43 pm

So, It has actually been over a year and a half since I last played TTW. I have been active on the forums but I have not actually used the mod. So I guess I am asking, is what has changed? Any major edits to TTW itself? Any new compatibility issued I should be aware of?

Sincerely,

Not to be flip, but you can always check out the latest updates in the changelog on the download page, here.

You may notice that 2.9.4b is the most recent version of TTW, and was released in 2015. Depending on which version you have or remember using, you can see that some things were changed.

The most significant change

Post by Risewild » Mon Feb 29, 2016 5:38 am

The most significant change is not in TTW yet because it took almost 10 months in the making and it is in open testing stage at the moment.

It is a companion overhaul where all of the vanilla FNV and FO3 companions were edited to give better wasteland compatibility.

If no problems are detected (hopefully I did a good job finding the worst bugs cheeky) the changes to the FO3 followers will be integrated into the next TTW version and the changes to the FNV followers will be part of the TTW Optional plugins.

If anyone is interested in help testing it or just want to know more about it the place to go is here:

Wait, What are the changes to the NV followers? I love the nv follower as they are. I don't like the Fo3 followers because of them being bought like slaves...not being trust ones.

Most of the modded follower are better than Fo3 ones.

I agree that the NV vanilla followers are far superior to those in FO3, but TTW makes no changes in them.

My computer specs are too embarrassing to reveal, but the game still runs.

The Companion Overhaul TTW plugin that is in open testing at the moment only edits the FNV companions in that now they can be fired in the Capital Wasteland and have their own places there to wait (they do not return to the Mojave Wasteland) so you don't have to take the train again to re-hire them laugh.

It should be mentioned that when the companion overhaul is merged into the normal TTW, the FNV companion changes will be part of the optional TTW plugin and not vanilla TTW wink.

Wow, this neglects the TTWinterior project with them. I understand this is mostly for vanilla player without that mod. For me, JMO, I think with that, the team should make 4 pony express mailbox in vanilla TTW. This would make us have not a hard time carry the guns we want to keep, there was 4 Mojave expresses in Vanilla FNV.

This is reason I like Interior Project so much.

The Houses, The Follower go home, The extra pony express optional.

When the companion update has been validated we will work on followers go home etc. While it has been in active bug fixing it wasn't worth it to have to also update ppatches every time it updated

TTW should never be made to accommodate other mods, other mods should be made to accommodate TTW, because TTW is so huge and there are so many other mods out there, we would have to make TTW versions for most of the mods and that is just not feasible, smiley that is why there is only one TTW and many mods for TTW or compatible with TTW laugh.
