Spectacular job on the new metro.

Post by NILLOC 916 » Mon Dec 30, 2013 7:09 am

As I entered the metro behind the National Archives to get to the train to Vegas, I expected nothing more than a regular tunnel and wondered why the area was changed at all. However upon seeing that I would need to enter an above ground space to get to the train I got excited. After exiting I thought "oh this is a nice little world space, decent way to make the transition a bit better". Then I turned a corner and was amazed, I was graced with the sight of a massive monument to the pre war transit system. A huge building with a courtyard out front that was worthy of being the base of some DC faction. I figured that this large area would have some nice loot so I decided to look around. Upon exploring, I realized that this place was more than a beautiful world space, it told a story. I saw military trucks and a tent with medical supplies in it, I saw burial mounds and tires with skeletons in them. I could tell this place was a military relief area set up to help those after the bombs (Much like Germantown Police HQ). The burial mounds and fires were probably used for body disposal. Upon entering the building I was faced with a beautifully decayed building and a quest to restore power. And that's where my description will end because this wall of text doesn't need to get any larger. My point is that y'all on the TTW team did a great job with this new area and I must say, it was definitely worth the extra trek instead of just walking past Dukov's place.

Always bring a companion or two that is slower than you.
Because you don't need to out run a Deathclaw.
You just need to out run your companions (Just bring a lot of companions in case the Deathclaw is really hungry!).

It was very impressive and it

It was very impressive and it fit so well that I had to stop for a moment and think "Was this really made by Bethesda, it far to grand". I actually checked the fallout wiki to make sure this wasn't already in the game, because I just assumed they would of added a train to an existing area. The only issue I had with the area is the enemy concentration. There definitely needs to be more enemies added to the area; I walked around the area and thought it was strange that there were so few enemies.

That's good feedback. There

That's good feedback. There're more to the South of the station than elsewhere. Could definitely put some more raider outposts here and there. There's room to expand.

Maybe put a fair sized well fortified SM camp in the train station.

Make the player work to take a train ride.

I just found I had a save

I just found I had a save before entering the station from a month ago.

Some Thoughts

-Add a few more raiders to the metro entrance side of the map(spread them out to the empty crevices that lead to invisible walls)(by the cars)

-Make all cars near the metro entrance flammable.

-Add some mines around the monuments and one inside the tent.

-Reevaluate the back areas, they are really barren(and it isn't just because I'm using the blackout ENB lol)

-Fix the door in the reception area that leads to darkness(add a more debris or lock)(http://youtu.be/w4UXnTMsIqw)

-Add a few centaurs to the right side of the map(perspective: the area adjacent from the interior building where the tent is)

-Add 150 Death Claws to the area.

Really outstanding work! Some of the best I have seen and I have not even managed to get inside the station just yet. Actually I made it just inside the doors down to my last few .308 rounds, so I had to leave - in a hurry.
