Stats Loss

Post by cjb135691 » Sat Mar 30, 2013 11:12 pm

What sort of factors could cause your special statistics to drop and become unrecoverable. My perception mysteriously went all the way down to -1 and not even console will bring it back up. I don't have any mods running that i can see that would do that. It has skills like energy weapons, lock picking and a couple others in the negative too.

I read that somewhere as a vanilla New Vegas thing... I can't put my finger on what caused it

Well if it is a bug then it's probably related to mods or like Aconagent said a vanilla NV bug, since I have installed, played and tested TTW from very early versions and never encountered any bug even remotely similar to this one.

But have you tried to check your EFFECTS option on your pipboy and see if you are suffering from any negative effects? A cause for Stats to go down can be an addiction, hunger/thirst/sleep need if you are playing in hardcore, radiation poisoning, consumables, etc.

Sorry if I can't be of much help, but I really never encountered anything like that so I can't speak from experience angel.

I have checked the effects

I have checked the effects menu and there isn't anything there that would make that happen and i removed all my radiation. The only thing i can think of so far is. I had Sexual inuendo installed, but i uninstalled it. I do on the other hand have Animated prostitution installed. Could either of those have a lasting effect i'm not seeing. Though as i said before the condition section isn't registering anything.

Never used any of those mods so I can't really tell, do they have anything that could change stats?

Not certain, I know some of the sexual innuendo mod tried to be immersive, with consequences for promiscuity, so it's not impossible. Try going to a doctor and talking about STD's, failing that, try disabling sexual innuendo and animated prostitution and see what happens.

Just reread your earlier post and realised you said you never actually used SI or Animated Prostitution, and that you've already uninstalled em, in that case that's probably not the cause, so I'm not sure what to suggest.

I still have ap installed but not si and when i think about it. I don't think ap was designed to be immersive like si was was all the diseases and stuff. I could be wrong though. I took care of the STDs and all that before uninstalling it. Wow what a thing to talk about. So i'm at a loss. This has never happened before.

Could be worth testing

Could be worth testing removing AP and see if it helps. Beyond that I dunno, use the console to reset your stats and hope for the best?

It sounds like you got hit with modav perception A LOT, probably from a mod. Nothing vanilla I know uses modav.
