This isn't really open to discussion, and the drama (now here) surrounding the mods is the exact point I made.

What other people do on the internet is not our business either, if you don't like it, take it up with them.

BTW, you may want to read the terms of service on moddb (and similar sites). It is stipulated that anything you upload and host there becomes their property to do with as they so chose. Which is why most of the community doesn't upload their work to said sites and one of the reasons that Robin created the Nexus.

i dont know much about the mod but it is sad when a mod author is no longer with us, may they rest in peace.

Since this mod series was started by a modder that unfortunately is no longer with us, but Andromeda Crescent continued the work since he was a creator of the series too since the AQFH2 I say no official port to TTW should be supported.

We, the TTW team always requested people to get authors permission to make official ports, Andromeda Crescent says he won't give it, then that is enough for me to say we will not have an official port.

We are modders and we too know about people sharing, editing and releasing our work in other places without permission, we respect every other creator and modder out there and that is all what this should be about, respect.

We can't stop people from making private conversions, but we can stop them from uploading them here when the authors said they do not want ports around.

I don't even know why this thread has such an issue, no permission means no official port and that is the rules around here.

On a different note I think that the insistence of getting a port only shows the quality, great effort and work put on this series, people really enjoy it and so for that, anyone that has had had anything to do with A Quest of Heaven series will have our respect and thanks.

Andromeda Crescent you mentioned that someone already created a conversion, is it uploaded here? I couldn't seem to find it but if you have a link please contact me and I will see what I can do about removing it from here.

If I dare say, playing AQFH in FNV environment is most definitely not the reason for the interest in a conversion.

The thing is that the players want to be able to experience AQFH, in the Capital Wasteland as was originally intended, but without having to choose between AQFH and The Tale of Two Wastelands as a whole. None of the content changed, all locations the same, all the ideas the same, except that should the player so desire they can leave the DC Wasteland after finishing the second chapter, and then later return for the third. As an example.

After all, converting the mod for TTW does not move the mod locatioms to FNV locations. 

I fully respect the decision of the developer, as everyone has a write to the sweat of their brow, but I just got the impression that AndromedaCresent had the wrong idea of what conversion actually does.

I may have come off a bit brash myself, but I was asked nearly a year ago now to convert the mods for TTW, so I did my research on them. I discovered the posts on nexus, and the blog. I also did some checking around about the circumstances regarding the mods. I came to the conclusion that it was something that I didn't want to step into because of the reactions, posts, and 2nd hand information I ran accross at the time.

The reactions to this discussion has solidified the impressions I took away from that research. I am also not 'some user' here, and it's clear some offense was taken with that reply. I will not take any in return, however and I still feel the same. Risewild has put it a bit more eloquently. I also can't tell if the response is genuine as it has more than a little bit of a sarcastic tone to it.

This concludes anything I have to say on the matter.
