I haven't actually installed this mod yet due to not owning Fallout 3 for PC (I have it for consoles so I've played more than enough to know a lot about it). I do remember hearing something about Fallout 3 not running well on Windows 7? If that's still the case should I wait to buy Fallout 3 or does it change entirely since this mod is running through New Vegas? I don't want to spend money to play this mod and then learn I can't actually play it.
I'm sorry if this has been answered but I can NOT find an answer anywhere about this.
Thank you for taking time to read this!

As long as everyone else isn't having problems I should be fine. Have you experienced any more frequency in crashing or such? I've had mine crash a few times due to mods. Just taking precaution before committing to the mod.

This mod is for New Vegas.
This mod is for New Vegas. It incorporates Fallout 3's content into NV, but you're still technically playing NV. I've also never personally had any problems running Fallout 3 on Windows 7, so I wouldn't let it worry you. You should be good to go.

Running TTW is just as stable
Running TTW is just as stable as playing vanilla FNV as long as you follow the FAQ and don't try to overload your game with mods.

The whole, "don't try to overload your game with mods." is what gets most people. :D

Running windows 8.1, never
Running windows 8.1, never had any trouble with Fallout 3/NV vanilla. As far as problems modded, I got what I expected - instability for the sake of a better game. I can't talk about vanilla TTW, but the rate of CTDs and lag hasn't increased at all in my fairly heavily modded game.

So silly question I have had
So silly question I have had NV for years and it's running fine, I had a Fallout3 Windows Live version 3 computers ago and finished it, so thought to add TTW. 2 yo gaming spec computer Intel/Nvidia, 8Gb, Windows 8.1. it would be simpler to just buy the steam GOTY version but as I have Windows 8, I did so but it doesn't launch when I hit play, I've screwed around with the ini & compatibility settings for a few hours with no improvement, but now I'm thinking it seems I need to install Windows Live as well to make a Steam version work?
I don't want to play FO3 seperately, so do I need to jump through all the hoops to get Fallout working before installing TTW or can I just install TTW and let it copy what it needs over and then delete FO3?

Backup your Fallout 3 steam
Backup your Fallout 3 steam files somewhere for safekeeping.
I believe you can just go ahead and make a TTW installation package.
There's a GFWL disabler on the nexus so you can run Fallout 3 also.
