I'm sure you guys have already booted this idea around, but if not, here it is: why not make the installer make the proper changes to the .ini?

The FOMOD makes the changes
The FOMOD makes the changes to the INI. It's like asking why Step 1 doesn't change something when step 2 does. That being said, I know it's annoying when step 2 doesn't work for everyone. There's a lot of data being changed and it needs to be dealt with delicately.

We intended to to that with the FOMOD installer unfortunately it seems to not work for everyone and not everyone can get the FOMOD to install properly. I myself had to to a manual install because of I don't have a 64 bit system.

The reason for making the
The reason for making the FOMOD do it, rather than the installer, is because mod managers can then UNdo it as necessary.
