[Request] NCR expands to DC

Post by owningburrito » Sat Apr 12, 2014 11:51 pm

[I'd like a mod where the NCR expands eastward after the battle at Hoover Dam. I feel it's logical that they'd continue to expand after that point eventually reaching DC. It would also be great if the factions you convince to side with them showed up as well.]

I removed the other (Identical) thread. Helped to get burrito's point across.

Puppettranslate:  what can't it do?

Dude, they couldn't control

Dude, they couldn't control Nevada in 5 years. I think it would be over half a century before they got to DC

Bethesda took jet, the BoS

Post by TrickyVein » Sun Apr 13, 2014 2:56 am

Bethesda took jet, the BoS and Harold and dumped them all on the other coast. Given those decisions, it wouldn't be surprising if they had brainstormed taking the NCR to DC at some point in development of Fallout 3.

I could see the NCR sending

Post by retlaw83 » Sun Apr 13, 2014 12:57 pm

I could see the NCR sending scouting parties on the train, but I don't see them taking over everything between the Mojave and DC. Especially quickly after Hoover Dam.

Agreed.

Agreed.

Fallout needs an injection of new people and factions. The entire body of land between the East and West coast can't be completely depopulated and it'd be a missed opportunity if the same familiar factions were to cover it.

So I hope the OP can find someone who agrees with him.

The Fallout Tactics somewhat

Post by rockitten » Sun Apr 13, 2014 2:32 pm

The Fallout Tactics somewhat "filled the void" by a Midwest BoS faction.

And I would say a totally new map with new factions will be much more fun and make sense than moving NCR to DC wasteland.......

Another issue is, at the moment, there is no reliable mod that allows us to play the game after the final battle in Hovoer dam.....

I feel like after the dam war

Post by TJ » Sun Apr 13, 2014 2:46 pm

I feel like after the dam war the legion would be broken (depending on your chosen faction) but it wouldn't completely fall apart. They've supposedly got a huge mass of land in their territory that we never actually get a look at so...

The Legion is really a large

Post by KeltecRFB » Sun Apr 13, 2014 3:57 pm

The Legion is really a large organized thug army, even the Romans could beat them without any firearm use.  Probably the largest and most organized faction is the NCR.  However, I really do not see them being in DC on a large scale.  Perhaps, a mechanized scouting platoon or maybe a company at best but nothing larger.  The Legion has drawn most of the NCR's attention to them.

Personally, I like to see a new faction or new life poured into the current.  The BoS or Enclave is finally getting their act together.
