Does Doc actually heal you when you go to the Mojave?

Post by WizardOfAtlantis » Sat Feb 02, 2013 2:18 am

So, I got shot up pretty badly in DC on my way to Union Station, but I made my way there, got on the train and nine years later, Doc's fixed me up from being shot in the head but I have the wounds from my nine-year-ago firefight in DC still affecting me.

Is this normal or have I got a mod conflict going on, blocking a TTW function that would have Doc actually heal you when you go through the NV-side chargen?

Nope, good thought, on the todo list.

Actually, do you think each train ride should patch you up? You have to pay for the ticket, so its not like free doctor services...

Patching up on the train ride

Patching up on the train ride is a good idea.

Realistically, if you're wounded when you get on, you're either going to heal yourself before you get to either destination, or you're going to arrive dead, since it's something of a trip...isn't it?

How long does it take for the actual trip itself? (apart from the whole 9 years later part from DC to Mojave)

I guess if one wanted to be a stickler, a first-aid kit could be modded onto one of the walls on the inside of the train to justify the healing process, in case the character didn't have medical supplies when he/she got on board.

Well, there you go then. If you have either a minor wound or a major one (broken bone, major bleeding, head trauma, whatever), you'll either be healed or dead in two weeks' time, so train healing is a must since for gaming reasons you have to arrive alive at your destination. :)

How about an Auto-Doc in one

Post by Risewild » Sat Feb 09, 2013 12:08 am

How about an Auto-Doc in one of the cars? That would explain the characters getting healed during the trip.

Maybe making it so if the player tries to use it outside the trip it says something like "for on-travel medical assistance only", so the player couldn't use it or something.

That's a pretty good thought: "This auto-doc is restricted for passengers only"

I will remove some of the storage and, add an auto-doc and, a little medical station to the Transit update WIP and, see how it feels.
