Operation Anchorage Gauss Rifle Sugestion

Post by Risewild » Wed Nov 07, 2012 6:10 am

I was thinking about the Gauss Rifle we get after we finish the simulation on OA, in the fallout 3 game that is the only Gauss Rifle we can get, making it a unique weapon, but FNV includes others so maybe it would be good in terms of keeping the flow and feeling of FO3 the same by making the GR from the DLC a unique weapon instead of just replace it for a normal one from FNV.

What do you guys think?

I am inclined to make it

I am inclined to make it unique in FO3, same as we are planning to do with the T-51b in FO3.

Are you also mixing weapons

Are you also mixing weapons from the 2 wastelands?

Because i think it would be cool to leave them separated as most as possible... it actually add more atmosphere about being 2 different places... i really wouldn't like to found western weapons of fallout new vegas on DC... it really didn't make that much sense... i think it would be ok just to add compatibility between them (so you can repair DC weapons with New vegas weapons and viceversa...). What do you think?

This way DC would be a really new area with his typical weapons and stuff... I don't think it would really make sense to see fuse dynamites on Washington DC... :/ Indeed there are Plasma granades/mines on DC...

Moreover apart from being better (at least in my opinion) it would also leave you A LOT of free time with other stuffs, and will let you focus on fixes and more important problems...

Obviously the same is for Armors and other items... It really don't make sense seeing sarsaparillas on DC... XD

On DC you would instead search for Quantum cola... :)

Everything is already

Everything is already integrated... we kept some weapons out but most of them are integrated, chinese weapons are rare in the mojave, and dynamite is basically non existant in dc

The 10mm silenced pistol

Post by JaxFirehart » Wed Nov 07, 2012 7:26 pm

The 10mm silenced pistol became a unique (Mr. Burkes 10mm pistol)

The scoped 44 became the Competition Revolver and was given to Eulogy Jones

The Gauss Rifle is something I hadn't put much thought into yet so I'm not sure what we will do

Thats all I know of at the moment

Edit:

And the T-51b power armor in DC should probably be unique

If the player doesn't have

Post by Risewild » Thu Nov 08, 2012 11:29 am

If the player doesn't have the  Wild Wasteland trait then there will be no alien blasters on NV and several on DC (thanks to the broken steel DLC) and FO3 already has two unique alien blasters (Firelance and Captain's Sidearm) so if one alien blaster would be unique I guess it would be the one from NV in my opinion (which would make sense because with or without the Wild wasteland trait the player would end up having a unique weapon).

But I don't know if the developers of TTW would agree, since they don't want to change FNV unless necessary, but instead integrate FO3 with FNV.
